The project and patented invention of a PhD. student and a M.A alumnus of Chemistry from Bu-Ali Sina University, titled the "reactor for multi-step refinement of industrial wastewaters using modern integrated methods" earned the special prize of Young Scientists Festival
Omid Pourei, PhD. student of Applied Chemistry from Bu-Ali Sina University stated in an exclusive interview with BASNA: "considering the increase of pollutants in the environment and the dangers it poses for human life in the future, and also the need for invention of a device for eradicating these pollutants, especially industrial and agricultural wastewaters which endanger natural life after entering the environment, in a voluntary act with the cooperation of Mr. Ali Gomarnouri, a M.A alumnus of this very university, we designed and invented a device which would contribute to this need".
He noted: "This project was invented under the title of ‘reactor for multi-step refinement of industrial wastewaters using modern integrated methods' with wastewater refinement in a three-step approach".
"The first step is using electrochemical method or electrocoagulation; the second step is using filtration method or adsorption, and the third step is using a biological filter consisting of micro- and macro-organisms", he added.
Pourei also maintained: "This device can create a huge transformation in the industrial wastewater refinement domain in terms of economic, industrial, technical, and scientific productivity".
He asserted: "this device has no local or foreign counterpart and the costs of operation and eradication of the sludge produced in the reactor is much less than those in the traditional methods while being highly efficient".
PhD. student of Bu-Ali Sina University stipulated: "this project, capable of reducing pollution from industrial wastewaters, and offering an environmental process, uses no kind of chemical materials. Also the use of man power for its operation is significantly lower than other methods".
"This project, which relied on local knowledge, took more than five years to complete and considering the inexpensiveness and accessibility of macro-organisms, this device has a high rate of sludge production which makes it suitable for corporations with space limitation. Also, the levels of COD, BOD, TSS, TSD, and other urban and industrial wastewater can be reduced using this device", he added.
Omid Pourei also stated: "considering the advantages of this device in light of the current situation and financial and foreign exchange limitations for local manufacturing corporations, there is a growing need for this device in reducing pollutions and preserving the environment".
It is noteworthy that this device has had a good performance after receiving confirmations and winning prizes in multiple award ceremonies; these include confirmation from Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (the most authentic organization for confirming inventions), winning first prize at Tuska national festival (National Elites Foundation), winning Identifying Elite Inventors Awards, and winning University of Tehran's From Idea to Product Awards.
It must be noted that this project has been able to achieve recognition and win prizes at different levels, such as admission to the final round of Sheikh Bahaei Festival, Ruyesh 99 Festival, From Wastewater to Water Industrial Festival, Recycling and Softening of Hard Water Festival (Naft Pars corporation), and Recirculation of Wastewaters Event by Hamedan Province Department of Environment.

اولین جشنواره جذب دانشجویان بینالمللی، با حضور فعال و پُررنگ دانشگاه بوعلیسینا و به میزبانی دانشگاه تربیت مدرس برگزار شد.

دکتر حسین رضوان، به مناسب ولادت حضرت عباس (ع)، از اعضای هیأت علمی و کارکنان جانباز دانشگاه تجلیل کرد.

دکتر حسین رضوان، در حکمی، دکتر محمدرضا فریدونی را به عنوان دبیر هیأت اجرایی جذب اعضای هیأت علمی دانشگاه بوعلیسینا منصوب کرد.

دکتر حسین رضوان، در حکمی، دکتر محمدحسن اسدی را به عنوان مدیر امور حقوقی دانشگاه بوعلیسینا منصوب کرد.

رئیس سازمان امور دانشجویان از دانشکده صنایع غذایی بهار دانشگاه بوعلیسینا بازدید کرد.

سیدابراهیم رئیسی از "دکتر صابر علیزاده ممقانی" به عنوان رتبه دوم نوآوری در گروه تخصصی فناوری نانو بیست و چهارمین جشنواره جوان خوارزمی تجلیل کرد.
