چکیده: Abstract: The use of deep reinforced concrete beams has increased significantly in recent years. Deep beams are widely used in tall structures, tank walls, foundations and marine structures. The passage of utility ducts inside deep beams has always been of interest due to the high cross-section of these beams, but the reduction of shear resistance in these beams is a reason for doubting the use of this method. In the present study, in addition to creating one or two openings in the samples, the cross-section is also hollowed out longitudinally. Six deep concrete beams were made in three groups, among which one sample was a normal deep beam and the other five samples had a hole with dimensions of 1200x150x100 mm in their length. Four samples with a circular opening in web were examined, among which two samples were reinforced with glass fibers around the opening. The crack growth in the sample, the cracking load, the ultimate load and the displacement corresponding to it were compared numerically and experimentally. The results showed that creating an opening outside the load transfer path in a deep beam has a far less impact on its bearing capacity, but the sample with two openings was associated with a 29% reduction in shear strength. The use of external reinforcement around the opening to compensate for the reduction in resistance caused by the creation of the opening was the method adopted in this research and it showed that in the sample with an opening in the center, the use of this method can completely reduce the resistance created. compensate The creation of external reinforcement by means of glass fibers increased the resistance by 8 and 15%, respectively, in the sample with one and two openings. The results obtained in the numerical analysis were recorded with an average error of 12% compared to the tests performed in the final displacement and the force-displacement diagrams were presented in two methods
