Bu-Ali Sina University Improves Its Position in the ISC World University Rankings, Rising to Eighth Among Iran’s Comprehensive Universities

According to a report by the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology of Bu-Ali Sina University, the results of the 2025 ISC World University Rankings show that Bu-Ali Sina University has maintained its global position while improving its standing among Iran’s comprehensive universities and universities nationwide.

According to the report, Bu-Ali Sina University remains in the 1,601–1,800 global ranking band, unchanged from the previous year. Nevertheless, the university has achieved a stronger position compared with other Iranian universities and has improved its national standing.

Among Iran’s comprehensive universities, Bu-Ali Sina University climbed two places, from 10th last year to 8th in the 2025 ISC rankings. In addition, among all Iranian universities included in the ranking, the university improved from 30th last year to 24th in 2025.

These results indicate that, despite no change in the university’s global ranking band, Bu-Ali Sina University has improved its performance relative to other universities in the country and strengthened its position within Iran’s higher education system.

It is worth noting that the 2025 ISC World University Rankings evaluated 2,749 universities from 115 countries worldwide, assessing institutions based on indicators including research, education, international activities, technology and innovation, and social impact.
