Bu-Ali Sina University
As the largest scientific, research and cultural center in the cradle of Iranian history and civilization, Bu-Ali Sina University is located in the center of Hamedan city and on the slopes of the mighty Alvand Mountain; a city whose name reminds us of poets, writers and great men such as Baba Taher, Bu-Ali Sina, Ain-e-Qudzat, Mirzadeh Eshghi and Mostafa Rahmandoost, and its beautiful appearance is mixed with a precious heritage such as the tomb of Bu-Ali Sina, the tomb of Baba Taher, Hegmataneh and Ganjnameh.
The Higher Education Development Council finally approved the establishment of Bu-Ali Sina University in Hamedan on December 23, 1973. After that, it was officially established in 1974 and began its educational activities in 1976 with the admission of about 200 students at associate and bachelor's degrees in four complexes: agricultural extension, health sciences, environmental sciences, and educational sciences.
