Consular Affairs Office for International Students of Hamadan Province
The Consular Affairs Office for International Students of Hamadan Province was established in May 2017 with the aim of facilitating consular procedures for international students studying at universities in Hamadan Province. Consequently, all matters related to students’ passports and residence permits, which were previously handled in a dispersed manner and through intermediaries, are now processed directly and through a faster and more efficient procedure.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Consular Affairs Office:
- Supervising the registration of applicants for study through the SAORG system and following up on eligibility approval when required;
- Issuing student visas;
- Extending student visas;
- Issuing educational residence permits for students and their families (spouses and children of male students);
- Extending educational residence permits for students and their families (spouses and children of male students);
- Issuing student exit and re-entry visas and those of their families (spouses and children of male students);
- Issuing final exit visas for students and their families (spouses and children of male students);
- Following up on the issuance of driving licenses;
- Issuing internal exit permits;
- Providing consultation on accommodation-related matters, including residential property rental (especially for married students);
- Providing guidance and consultation to universities in Hamadan Province regarding consular affairs and passport-related matters of international students.
