The 34th International Conference on Mechanical Engineering of Iran (ISME 2026), organized in collaboration with the Iranian Society of Mechanical Engineers and Bu-Ali Sina University of Hamadan, will be held over three days from July 14 to 16, 2026.

Held under the authorization of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), this conference is regarded as one of Iran’s oldest and most prestigious scientific events in the field of mechanical engineering. It provides a valuable platform for bringing together professors, researchers, industry professionals, and experts in the field.

As one of the fundamental pillars of the country’s industrial infrastructure, mechanical engineering plays an indispensable role in technological advancement, industrial development, and addressing national challenges. Bu-Ali Sina University to Host the Event: A Scientific Hub in Western Iran

This year, Bu-Ali Sina University in Hamadan has the honor of hosting this major scientific event. With a distinguished record in education and research, the university has long been recognized as one of the leading academic centers in western Iran.

In the field of mechanical engineering, Bu-Ali Sina University holds a prominent position among Iranian universities, benefiting from a strong Department of Mechanical Engineering, distinguished faculty members, and accomplished researchers. With an active Faculty of Engineering and advanced educational workshops and laboratories, the university has consistently played an important role in training specialized professionals and conducting applied research projects. Twelve Specialized Tracks Covering the Full Spectrum of Mechanical Engineering

The conference aims to bring together and exchange scientific achievements, introduce the latest research findings, and expand academic and industrial interactions among universities, research centers, and related industries. It will be held across the following twelve specialized tracks:

  1. Mechanical Engineering Education – Exploring innovative teaching and learning methods and sharing experiences in practical and applied skills training.
  2. Energy and Environment – Presenting engineering solutions for optimizing energy consumption, reducing pollutants, and introducing clean and renewable technologies.
  3. Bio-, Micro-, and Nanomechanics – Promoting interdisciplinary research in biomedical engineering and nanotechnology and exploring emerging applications in advanced industries.
  4. Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer – Presenting innovations in energy systems and thermal management and analyzing challenges in the design of heating and cooling systems.
  5. Automotive and Transportation – Presenting engineering solutions for the development of energy-efficient and clean vehicles and examining emerging technologies in automotive and rail transportation industries.
  6. Dynamics, Vibrations, and Control – Optimizing the performance of dynamic systems, reducing vibrations, and introducing intelligent control methods for mechanical systems.
  7. Design and Reliability of Mechanical Systems – Exchanging knowledge on sustainable and robust design methods and enhancing the reliability and service life of mechanical systems.
  8. Solid Mechanics – Analyzing and designing advanced structures under mechanical and thermal loads and introducing smart materials and their applications.
  9. Fluid Mechanics – Presenting recent advances in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and examining applications in the oil, gas, and aerospace industries.
  10. Manufacturing and Production – Introducing advanced additive manufacturing and machining technologies and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve quality and reduce costs.
  11. Aerospace – Exchanging experiences in the design and analysis of aerospace systems and examining challenges associated with space projects and advanced aircraft.
  12. Thermal Power Plants – Presenting solutions for optimizing power plant performance, reducing energy losses, and introducing innovative technologies for electricity generation and heat recovery.

Special Scientific Programs

A diverse range of scientific programs has been planned for the three-day conference, including six keynote lectures delivered by leading Iranian professors in mechanical engineering and seven specialized workshops featuring prominent academics and experienced industry professionals. In addition, more than 450 scientific papers will be presented across the conference’s specialized tracks.

It should be noted that all conference sessions, workshops, and lectures will be held online.
